Here lie all of the fan-made Splatterhouse games that have fallen into oblivion. Gaze upon them and see what might have been...
We received one email about this game sometime in 2001 or 2002, I think (it contained the demo), and then we never heard from Jason again. He said in that message: "I am making a RPG of Splatterhouse named West Mansion Horror (made with
the RPG maker). This is the current demo for it - this one should work..."
Splatterhouse SE by Da Main Man (PC)
In 2002, Da Main Man got in contact with me to let me know of
a project he was working on: a revamp of the original Splatterhouse arcade
game, entitled Splatterhouse SE, for play on PCs. It looked promising, but sadly, this project died as well. Here are the only screenshots we grabbed from Da Main Man's Geocities site before it went down.
I'd heard a little about this in the past, but could never find the demo to put up here. Now, thanks to Mike Freligh, it's available here if you'd like to check it out. Looks interesting, and the final pic you see here (the ending of the demo, apparently) is just great.
